When you talk about sausage in South Africa, pork sausages come to mind, not the true South African sausage called wors (/v:s/).  Three main categories of wors is common namely boerewors, skaapwors and droeëwors of which the direct translations are respectively farmers sausage, sheep sausage and dry sausage.
